Welcome ashore.
Snipe Point sand flats, Florida Keys. / D. Cricket Desmarais
Land ho! It’s good to be here, my friends. I was lost at sea for a while, hit by storms so big, it’s a wonder I’m not hanging with Davy at the bottom of his locker.
Lucky for me, you can’t drown a witch.
Don’t be mistaken. I didn’t survive the universe’s multi-year beating & the grief that came with it on magic alone. I am blessed to live on the shores of one particular harbor filled with an amazing community of supportive, creative, beautiful people, & others on other shores, all rooting for & reminding me to take a deep breath or suck it up or both. Tough love goes a long way in my GenX bones, as does the well-timed gentle hand, kind words, & humor.
Because I am equal parts whale as I am seahag, when things get rough I have a tendency to dive deep & stay there for a long while. In this space I can eliminate the narrative & tune into the pure energy of time & space. There I can observe, pray, make, & move. It’s an elixir for healing & feeling better.
Now that I’ve surfaced, it is my hope that I can share some of this with you. From what I see & hear, it’s been rough for a lot of people out there.
In the coming weeks I’ll be putting out a combination of free & affordable resources & micro courses that will save you time & money, build your grit, & help you get loose to let your inner glitter fly.
I’ll send a newsletter with the info as it comes available.
I’ll also be announcing the launch of a new publication & visual art that I’m making to go with it, as well as various print-on-demand platforms to purchase wearable art & homewares.
Until then, I’ll leave you with this sweet & salty song to help raise your vibration. Jimmy knew how to manifest Happy in the moment, even when he was quietly dying from cancer. How’s that for resilience?
Turn it up loud & close your eyes, or let yourself move or sing if that’s what calls to you. Whatever your choice, feel the music’s vibration & let it work its medicine.
& remember, you are so very loved.

One Particular Harbor
By: Jimmy Buffett, Bobby Holcomb, & the Coral Reefer Band 1983
Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei"Nature lives (life to nature)
Have pity for the Earth (Love the Earth)"
I know I don't get there often enough
But God knows I surely try
It's a magic kind of medicine
That no doctor could provide
I used to rule my world from a pay phone
Ships out on the sea
But now times are rough
And I got too much stuff
Can't explain likes of me
Chorus:
But there's this one particular harbour
So far but yet so near
Where I see the days as they fade away
And finally disappear
But now I think about the good times
Down in the caribbean sunshine
In my younger days I was so bad
Laughin' about all the fun we had
I seen enough to feel the world spin
Mixin' different oceans meetin' cousins
Listen to the drummers and the night sounds
Listen to the singers make the world go 'round
(pan solo)
Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao nei
Lakes below the mountain
Flow into the sea
Like oils applied to canvas
They permeate through me
And there's that one particular harbour
Sheltered from the wind
Where the children play on the shore each day
And all are safe within
Most mysterious calling harbour
So far but yet so near
I can see the day when my hair's full gray
And I finally disappear
Ia ora te natura
E mea arofa teie ao neiUa pau te maitai no te fenua
Re zai noa ra te ora o te mitie"Bounty of the land is exhausted
But there's still abundance on the sea."
